As you may already know, it’s tough to survive as a creative in NYC with steadily decreasing rates & an ever-increasing cost of living. I have primarily worked as a freelancer in & around the photography industry for coming up on 2 decades now & the stress of financially “getting by” has been a major obstacle in having the space to focus solely on my own creative pursuits.
Perhaps it’s unconventional for a photographer working to launch a sustainable career to ask for help in this way, but the mentality of quietly suffering & pushing through alone is one I’ve grown tired of & believe is destructive for all of us — we need to help each other & create community in whatever ways we can.
That said, whether you know me personally or if you just enjoy or believe in my work, I humbly ask for your help during these uncertain times (if you have the means to do so) with a one-time or monthly donation.
